  4. School in Ballyfermot is okay, it has alot of schools and kids from all over Dublin go to schools in Dublin.

  5. Yes they do, and Ballyfermot still has one of the lowest rates of third level advancement in Dublin from secondary schools

  6. Sorry I was tired when I write that I meant kids all over Dublin go to schools in Ballyfermot because Ballyfermot has a variety of good schools. And there is many of them.

  8. In the budget school funds have been decreased. There letting go about two teachers out of nearly every school.I asked the school about this and they happily explained to me that long term teachers or full time ordinary teachers will not be fired and most likely the special needs teachers will be fired and this is unacceptable on the behalf of the goverment for cutting funds on the school on the budget when they could be highering prices on more goods like alchahol and even in such harsh times special needs kids in Ballyfermot need an education. The reason they wont fire any long time or normal teachers because they need them and there s more normal kids than special needs kids and they have no other alternative. What does this say about our goverment. And as a minor living in Dublin that I stiLL have a voice and not only are special needs teachers being fired there getting rid of many subjects and for me I.T computer classes and film study is all I dreamth of attending school and my many later life job ideas.so I have come toghter for some ideas to send to local T.D s. 1.What will the special needs kids do when the school and is simply forced to cut down on special needs teachers and what is the goverment doing about this. And even the school board are worried about the next budget and how the economy might get worse for schools.school board;2 It's about that time again, when local governments and school boards start haggling over the next year's budget". 2.And what about the very intelligent kids of Dublin that planned in having I.T as a career but because the school cant be funded they will lose out on experience. [I am planning on sending this to a local T.D and i when I get an answer I will paste the reply here]. school budget

  9. Where did you get your hands of a document like that? I'm impressed by your compassion in all of your main points. As a part time worker with adult disabilities I have seen the staff numbers grow smaller while the service users numbers increase, I think this may happen more in special needs schools too. Yes lobby your local TD and lets see what kind of red tape he throws at you. Good on you Nathan

  15. Complain and they havent made the cuts in the school yet and teachers havent been fired yet so it will be a lot worse, but some of the teachers we have in the school are quite good compared to other schools.
