  3. My Ballyfermot would be a place full of activities and where crime is at its lowest and kids can play where ever they want and call Ballyfermot there home or sanctuary.

  4. Yeah Nathan, lofty goals indeed and you paint a nice sereene picture but what would you have to do to achieve this, I ask you?

  5. There is so much crime in the world and bad people all you can do is decrease crime.

    Posted 1 year ago #
  6. ...by decreasing bad people? or any other way you have in mind?

    Posted 1 year ago #
  7. You cant decrease bad people unless there caught or proven guilty, which is a long tiresome wait but during the mean time trying to prevent crime with associations like neighbourhood watch and installing c.c.t.v cameras.

  8. Hasn't there already been cctv cameras installed on the main street, like just beside Molloys liquor store? so maybe somebody else has pre-empted this? have you noticed

  9. I was using the c.c.t.v cameras as ways to which stop c\rime in Ballyfermot that have been already put in place the the cameras and neighourhood watch are the best thing that way because we have caught many people commiting crimes in our community. My main point was for Ballyfermot to become a better place to live in we need to get those who commit mild crimes in our area dealt with especially if there frequently doing it.And we need to decrease the amount of cars robbed in Ballyfermot and it seems that people who rob cars do it frequently.

  10. I should have said 'have you noticed any difference with them there' It's only because I have. There used to be alway a crowd there now there is not. I'm glad to hear that you neighbourhood watch has encouraged more po-activity in the area with results.
How would you encourage more of this interaction in your area, if you had you finger on resources?

  13. Not sure what minorities your talking about? If you consider yourself intelligent, educated and working then you could be part of the minority that is making Ballyfermot less perfect in your opinion?

  15. In my opinion Ballyfermot is the same as any other town in Dublin. We all have the same problems and the same qualities, but in a unique way.

He shoots he scores...and you say you don't watch football. Eh not that much to say just wanted it open really haha :)....
Ah no Ballyfermot isn't half as bad as people say it is, your gona get "horrible people" (I wont curse) anywhere you go wheather it be Blackrock or Ballyfermot. Its home :)

    Posted 1 year ago #
  26. I never said I don't watch football

And what do people say about Ballyfermot then, that its full of horrible people?

Yeah I think its generally considered a 'bad area', but its not really if you dont live here you usually cant understand...
Oh so you DO watch football...well if you happen to be a die hard fan (not the film) and know a website which plays the match when its not shown, do let me know :)

  28. Okay, colour me interested, I was at the Dubs match last night, just happened to get tickets, not a Gaa fan either. I like sports. Bruce willis is pretty cool, great in the last boyscout too.

Okay, so if I don't live here but I work here, and my job entails teaching every element and age group from Ballyfermot in a friendly and encourageing way then I'd guess that I know that Ballyfermot has great people and a lot of them too.

Maybe you can help me understand why you " think its generally considered a 'bad area....if you dont live here you usually cant understand.'"

  29. I was looking at the fantastic new pictures in the gallery and came across this one

There's something strange about it but I just can't figure it out!

I think the heads were digitally painted on or something.

  30. I think they had to add new heads after the Dark Lord Vincent flew across the sceen with his lightsaber
